Our challenge

    As I read this, I am reminded of 1 John 5:1-6 which backs up what was said here in Ephesians and totally blows the Calvinist theory out the window. "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ(the Messiah is a born again child of God; and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him (His offspring)...That's us. By this we come to know that we love the children of God: when we love God and obey His commands(when we keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and His teaching)...So generously provided for us in the Word (Words following the dots indicate my thoughts. For the true love of God is this: that we do His commands. And these orders are not irksome, burdensome or grievous. For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith....I especially love that part. Who is that is victorious over, that conquers the world but he who believes that Jesis is the Son of God and relies on that fact. This is He Who came by water and blood(His baptism and His death), Jesus Christ, the Messiah-not by water only, but by the water and the blood. And it is the Holy Spirit Who bears witness because the Holy Spirit is the Truth. Amplified Version. As you said God knew the WHOLE plan from beginning to end. Our challenge is to take hold of the victory, as we receive the,blessing and gifts Jesus Christ has given us through the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:3) And with love for others, put this to work, sharing this with others so they may become His as well. I mean, what would be the point of the Great Commission if predestination is already determined? In this day and time, I believe the world is looking for a manifestation of the sons and daughters of God. This way God's divine plan is carried out. Submitted by Sherry Daugherty
